Miving from NYC ONE DAY before Election Day.... not quite sure what to do.

Need to ask questions.

Call League of Women Voters general info line... number disconnected, call
not redirected.

Call League of Women Voters administrative office... number disconnected,
call not redirected.

Call Board of Elections city office... referred to borough office.

Call Board of Elections borough office... referred to special Voters Info
line.

Call special Voters Info line... go past menu prompts in English, Spanish,
Chinese, French (probably Creole), and what sounded like Portugese.

Surprised they didn't have a prompt in Russian.

On hold for 20 minutes.

Finally called local politico's office. Administrative assistant told me to
go back to special Voter's Info line and press 0 twice.

Did that. Another 10 minutes on hold.

Called back politico, assistant relented, informed me that I would need to
file absentee ballot by Oct. 26, agreed to send absentee ballot today.

Maybe I'll get it by Friday, maybe not.

Would have been quicker and easier to go out, score a dime bag and get a
quick knob job from a toothless crack whore.

More rewarding, too.

Yeah we really need all those people who don't speak a lick of English
to be out there voting.

A little rudeness and disrespect can elevate a meaningless
interaction to a battle of wills and add drama to an otherwise dull
day.
