"Bob" Boot screen for Win XP, download link

How to install:

1.. Backup (copy) the file %windir%\system32\ntoskrnl.exe (most likely
C:\windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe - the boot screen)
2.. Download the .zip to your computer
3.. Extract ntoskrnl.exe to a directory other than %windir%\system32 (most
likely C:\windows\system32)
4.. Reboot your computer into Safe Mode (hit F8 before the boot screen) or
into true DOS (from a boot disk)
5.. Overwrite the file %windir%\system32\ntoskrnl.exe (which should have
been backed up) with the extracted exe
6.. Reboot your computer as you normally would

I will attempt to install this in the office Windows machine I
inherited. And then if it is Trademarkless, you will hear my hollering
all the way over there in whereever the hell you are! You'll be called
Old One-Bean when I'm through with you.

The included readme file has the trademark info on it. If that isn't enough
I'll redo the image and ask them, to take down the original, then I'll
resubmit it. I didn't remember the (R) thing until ex post facto.

Dobbstown.
