"Spin" magazine didn't tell me about this - now I'll have to hunt it down and
thank them for it. Rumor has it that a dozen bands sent inquiries to Lilith
about performing at XXX-Day!

Praise Chris Lee for finding this! And praise orgies!

No rumor to it. And I'm still not sure how the hell so many bands got
it in their heads that XXX-Day was an all-day music festival, not a
bunch of skeery religious geeks fornicating, frolicking, and
terrorizing out in the woods.

But NAY! Only the Paid may enter! We must keep the anti-anti-antimusic
PURE! Only the MIGHTIEST can climb to the top of Mt. Horeb, and take a
flyin' PISS off the peak!

Sadly, it sounds like one of the bands, Lust In Space, disbanded after
a collision with a junked AT&T satellite. I have no confirmation except
the rumors of others, and the dead silence on the other end of my
interossitor. I can only hope that somewhere, somehow, we shall all
gaze upon their shininess again.

LITTLE FYODOR WILL RETURN.

And, mooning over the hills of Arkansas is the great Hellpope Huey,
whose tongue and keyboard are responsible for sixteen counts of boil
eruptions bursting into flame since mid-April. He'll SICKEN you and
then HEAL you, over and over, until you come into perfect slack, so
gird thy righteous asses!

Needless to say, ESO will be back, and they've always got a groovy mix
of new hits, old classics, and freaky jammin' in store.

There's a couple of bands where we still need to confirm their
attendence, but this shall be revealed in due time.

What's even more interesting is that I specifically said on the XXX-Day Web
page that they won't be paid for it. Maybe it was all those Blood Wrestling
pics that gave them the incentive to take the plunge for "Bob." But hell - if
that means we get mre music and don't have to fill as much dead space with
ranters, then that's okay with me.

And a word for absent friends: The King Of Slack is dearly missed!

I should also note that I received a flyer in the mail from Brushwood,
plugging their summer schedule -- especially Sirius Rising, the pagan festival
sponsored especially by Brushwood. ESO is giving TOP BILLING for the music!
As the flyer says:

"MUSIC has always been part of Sirius Rising and this year we'll have
performances by Einstein's Secret Orchestra, Green Crown, The Mickeys, Loke E.
Coyote and others."
